How can I check the status of my sample and follow the progress in the laboratory?

At Koko Genetics, we know you are eager to discover the secrets hidden in your pet's DNA. That is why we have designed a digital traceability system that allows you to stay informed at all times about the exact stage of the analysis.

For this tracking to be effective, it is absolutely essential to register the kit on our website before sending it. Without this prior registration, your sample would arrive at the laboratory anonymously, and it would be impossible for us to link the progress to your user profile or send you notifications.

Below, we detail how you can track the process step by step:

  • Receipt notification: As soon as your kit arrives at our facilities and is scanned by our logistics team, you will receive an automatic email confirming that the sample is already in the hands of our scientists.

  • Tracking from your Private Area: By logging into your Koko Genetics account, you will have access to a dashboard where you can graphically view the phases the sample goes through: from DNA extraction to genotyping and the interpretation of results.

  • Scientific rigor (Analysis phase): Once in the laboratory, we process the data according to genome-wide association studies (GWAS). This cutting-edge technology guarantees maximum reliability in health, trait, and breed reports. This process is meticulous and is the reason why the final results are usually ready within 4 to 6 weeks from the receipt of the sample.

  • Results ready notification: The moment our geneticists validate the final report, you will receive a final notice by email.

What happens if I don't receive updates?

If more than 10 days have passed since you made the shipment and you have not yet received the "Sample received" email, we recommend verifying in your private area that the kit appears correctly linked. If everything is in order and you still have no news, contact our team at info@kokogenetics.com so we can locate your shipment.

Remember to always check your junk or spam folder, as our automatic notifications can sometimes be filtered by your email provider.
