In order for us to analyze your pet's DNA test, it is absolutely essential to link their biological sample to a user profile. This registration process is very simple, guarantees the total privacy of your data, and must always be completed before sending the sample to the laboratory (please note that samples received unregistered cannot be analyzed).
Below, we explain the steps to follow to complete your registration correctly and answer the most common methodological questions:
-
Account creation and kit registration: You can easily start the process by scanning the QR code found in the instruction leaflet or by going directly to www.kokogenetics.com/welcome. During the process, the form will ask you to enter your kit code. Upon completion, we will send you an email to activate your account (please check your spam or junk folder). This activation is mandatory to access your private area in the future and start receiving notifications about the status of your sample and the availability of the results.
-
Locating the alphanumeric code: This unique 12-digit code (which on the web will be automatically separated with hyphens in groups of four) is printed on the tubes preserving the saliva swabs, on the envelopes in the case of the dry swab, and in the instruction leaflet. It is very important that you keep the instructions so as not to lose it. Thanks to this code, the sample never travels accompanied by your personal data, but completely anonymously. Once your account is created, you will be able to consult this code whenever you need it at the top right of your screen.
-
Managing multiple pets (One kit per account): Currently, for strict data protection reasons and to enable future communication features of our platform, it is not possible to register more than one kit under the same user. Therefore, if you have several pets, each of them must have its own independent account registered with a different email address. Our team continues working technically to improve and facilitate these functions in the future.
Remember that if you have any technical questions during this registration process, you can contact the Koko Genetics team through any of our customer service channels.
