Once you have successfully collected your pet's DNA, the next step is to send it to our facilities. Do not worry about the journey: the shipping process is very simple and our tools guarantee that the genetic material travels fully protected.
Steps to send your DNA kit
Remember that, to start this process, it is mandatory to have previously registered your kit on our website. Once you have done so, follow these instructions:
- Receive your prepaid label: After completing the online registration, we will send you an email with a prepaid shipping label (this means the cost is already covered). Depending on your country, this email can take up to 72 hours to arrive. Do not forget to check your spam or junk mail folder!
- Prepare the package: Print the label you received and place it visibly so that the transport agency can read it correctly.
- Deliver your sample: Take the already labeled package to the courier office that we have indicated in the email.
What do I do if I don't receive the shipping label?
If after 72 hours you do not have the email, write to us at info@kokogenetics.com indicating your name, surname, full address, and phone number, and our team will manually generate a new label for you.
Can the saliva sample get ruined during the journey?
The short answer is no. Your sample travels completely secure thanks to the technology of our kits. The samples remain stable at room temperature (15-30℃ / 59-86℉) for a period of up to 12 months.
Although we recommend sending the package as soon as possible after collection, the sample will hold up in perfect condition for weeks. The only precaution you should take is to avoid exposing the package to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) for prolonged periods.
(Additional note: If you have purchased a kit and have not yet used it, you should know that sealed kits, if at room temperature, remain stable for up to a maximum of 5 years).
